Meet the Founder
I’m Shawna Balas — Winnipeg entrepreneur, creative director, and founder of SHE-Canada.
I built SHE-Canada because I knew firsthand how hard it is to be a Canadian woman in business and still be invisible. There was no single place to find us, celebrate us, or connect us to the customers who were already looking for what we offer.
So I built one.
SHE-Canada is a national directory and digital magazine platform that gives Canadian women-owned businesses a place to be found — from Victoria to St. John’s, from Whitehorse to Windsor.
